The challenge

Sanalia & Asociados operates as an independent insurance brokerage in the Dominican Republic — a role that, unlike direct insurers, compares options from the country's leading insurers to find the most convenient coverage for each client. That differentiated value proposition is powerful, but hard to communicate digitally.

The insurance sector in the DR generates default distrust. Prospects arrive at the site wondering if the company is legitimate, how long it's been operating, and whether it really delivers. The goal was clear from the first conversations: the site had to project solvency, institutional solidity, and trust from the very first millisecond of browsing — not just look good, but inspire security.

Design approach

A visual architecture was chosen that prioritizes hierarchy over decoration. Every element — typography, spacing, color palette, photography — is aligned to the corporate identity and designed to ease the user's journey, not to impress. In a sector where the perception of institutional solidity closes or loses the sale, visuals have direct business consequences.

The tagline "Feel more than secure. We are solutions" positions itself as an emotional anchor: it doesn't sell insurance products, it sells peace of mind. That difference defines how every section of the site is structured, from coverage presentation to calls to action.

SEO architecture from the code base

SEO wasn't treated as a last-minute patch — it was designed from the content hierarchy and technical structure. This means correct semantic headings, Schema.org structured data so Google understands exactly what the company is, who runs it, and what coverage it offers, and a geolocation strategy built to rank the firm in high-impact local and regional searches within its niche.

In the Dominican market, "insurance brokerage in Santo Domingo" and local search variants are the most efficient acquisition channel for this type of business. Ranking correctly for those searches has direct commercial value — and that's planned from the very first <h1>, not from a plugin installed at the end.

What I learned

In the insurance sector in the Dominican Republic, the website doesn't close direct sales — it removes objections before the call. The prospect arrives after a search or referral, and uses the site to decide whether it's worth making the call. If the site doesn't inspire confidence in the first few seconds, that prospect calls the competition.

That's why every design decision has to be justified in terms of credibility: the Ensanche Kennedy location visible from the start, the partner insurers as a signal of institutional backing, the independent-broker proposition presented clearly. It's not about looking big — it's about looking trustworthy.
